Exhibition of Book Covers
MELVYN WARREN-SMITH
Melvyn Warren-Smith is a professional artist from Stroud who studied fine art in London and went on to win a David Murray Landscape Scholarship from the Royal Academy of Arts.
For many years he worked as a highly sought-after illustrator specialising in book covers for romantic fiction, collaborating with authors such as Catherine Cookson, Maeve Binchy and Edwina Currie. His work also included illustration for magazines.
The Yard Gallery in Stroud is hosting an exhibition of Melvyn’s work on 2– 7 November, open 10–4.
