HOPE IN HELL: A DECADE TO CONFRONT THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY with Jonathon Porritt

“It’s not too late, but not for long.”
While we are close to passing ‘the point of no return’, there are still compelling reasons to remain hopeful about the climate emergency. So argues eminent writer, broadcaster and sustainable development campaigner Jonathon Porritt in his new book, “Hope in Hell: A Decade to Confront the Climate Emergency”.
He joins us to explain his reasons for optimism – as long as we act now – and outlines his compelling blueprint for post Covid-19 recovery across the world, taking in everything from new technologies and the power of innovation, to the mobilisation of young people and a sense of intergenerational solidarity. All the solutions we need to address the climate emergency already exist, he argues. What’s lacking is political will – and the solution to that is in our own hands.
