Today we’re thrilled to launch our design for Stroud Book Festival 2022.

The launch of our unique and original Festival design each year is always a hugely exciting moment for us. Committed as we are to supporting creators here in the Five Valleys, each year we commission a local illustrator to help us provide a signature ‘look’ for each Festival – in the past we’ve been proud and delighted to showcase the work of Dennis Gould, Tom Percival, Clay Sinclair, Ery Burns and Lucia Leyfield in this way.

This year it’s the turn of…(drumroll)…Mark Levy! Mark’s marvellous and distinctive robots first caught our eye on the cover of Good on Paper. So we’re delighted he has created such a vibrant design, featuring a charming and diverse robot family.

Mark is a Stroud based digital illustrator with over 25 years of experience. Trained in oils on canvas at Falmouth College of Arts, Mark has worked across a wide range of fields including designing arcade machines, TV animation, web design and motion graphics. But his love of film and illustration drew him back to what he loves most and he now focuses on poster art and illustration digitally on the Mac and more recently iPad.

You can see view more of Mark’s work here, www.marklevyart.com, or find him on Instagram & Twitter @MarkLevyArt

We’ll be announcing some of Stroud Book Festival 2022 headline events in the next few weeks, so as always, please do keep an eye on our Stroud Book Festival website for the latest news at stroudbookfestival.org.uk. And a reminder that if you are on social media, please follow us for updates.
