We are thrilled to launch our 2019 Mainstream Fiction Competition.

Please see the details below – you can enter by filling out a paper form (downloadable) or by using the online submission form at the bottom of the page. Before submitting your entries, please be sure to read the rules.

Katie Fforde award for Mainstream Fiction




1st: £100 + 4 night writing retreat at Hawkwood College, Stroud.

2nd: £75, 3rd: £50


Mainstream Fiction judge: Alice Jolly


Length of piece: Synopsis of up to 200 words plus excerpt of up to 3000 words

The Mainstream Fiction Competition is open to writers in Gloucestershire, UK.
