As we start to scent spring in the air, plans for the 10th annual Stroud Book Festival are well underway and we much look forward to celebrating this landmark anniversary with you from 5-9 November 2025.
In the meantime, a reminder that you can now watch some of our most popular past events online via our Stroud Book Festival video player.
A single donation of £10 gives you access to a whole array of videos for the rest of 2025, including footage of some of our most popular events from last year’s Festival.

CALLING YOUNG WRITERS!
We’re pleased to announce that entries for the fourth annual Laurie Lee Prize are now open in the 16-20 years category.
The theme for this year’s Prize is ‘Journeys’, and the entry criteria have now been widened to include anyone who works or goes to school or university in Gloucestershire or South Gloucestershire, as well as those who live here full time or were born in the county.
The competition opens on 1 April 2025 for the 21+ age category
