A quick update from the Stroud Book Festival control room to let you know that our entire 2025 programme is now available to browse on the Stroud Book Festival website – www.stroudbookfestival.org.uk.

Tickets will go on general public sale via Stroud Sub Rooms box office from 10am on Friday 12th September, with Sub Rooms Patrons and Members will be able to buy a day or two prior to that (might be a good excuse to sign up).

You will be able to purchase tickets online from thesubrooms.co.uk; by calling 01453 796880, or in-person at the box office in Stroud (Tuesday-Saturday, 9-4pm).

Please book early to avoid disappointment!

Bringing you events for readers of all ages – including in-conversation sessions, interactive workshops and spellbinding storytelling – and a host of authors across an array of genres, Stroud Book Festival 2025 gets underway on Wednesday 5^th November (remember, remember…) and runs until the evening of Sunday 9^thNovember.

On opening night, Wednesday 5^th November, we stage a special event to mark our 10^th Stroud Book Festival. “Firewords Night” will celebrate the power of the written word, with the help of ten Stroud authors, and Richard Ovenden OBE, author and head of the Bodleian Library in Oxford. All profits go to Nailsworth charity, Read for Good.

Our colourful printed brochure with full details of all events taking place will be available to pick up free from Stroud Bookshop and other venues across the Five Valleys next month. We’ll let you know when it’s out!
