Six months to go……and we need your vote!

LL 22 onstage

We can’t quite believe it but this year’s Stroud Book Festival – 8-12 November 2023 – is now a little under six months away. Since we were last in touch, the Festival team has been hard at work, planning five days of compelling events for all ages with a host of brilliant authors. We’ll be announcing our first headline events in early July. In the meantime, please make sure the dates are inked in your diary!

A reminder that entries for this year’s Laurie Lee Prize for Writing are now open. With two categories once again this year, one for a young writer aged between 16-20 years, please spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested, or even send in an entry yourself. The closing date is Friday 14th July 2023.

Finally, some excellent news! Stroud Book Festival has once again been shortlisted for Event of the Year at the So Glos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards 2023. A public vote is now open to decide which events go through the grand final at the end of June. Given all we’ve achieved with a tiny team, and a modest budget over the past seven years, we’d love to reach the final stages.

Voting is open until 10am on Friday 26th May – if you’d like to support our entry, here’s the link

Thanks so much for your support. We’ll in touch with more news about the 2023 Festival very soon. In the meantime, happy reading!

With love from
