We’re delighted to announce that tickets for our tenth annual Stroud Book Festival are now on sale.

We suggest you first browse the 2025 programme on our website – stroudbookfestival.org.uk to choose the events you’d like to book.  You can then click through to buy your tickets online via thesubrooms.co.uk. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 01453 796880, or in-person at the Sub Rooms box office (Tuesday-Saturday, 10-4pm).

We know that many of you like to choose your events by reading our Stroud Book Festival printed brochure. The good news is that this year’s edition will shortly be available to pick up free from Stroud Bookshop, Stroud Library and other venues across the Five Valleys. We’ll let you know when it lands!

We hope very much that you’ll find plenty of events to tempt, intrigue and inspire you in our 2025 programme. Throughout our near decade-long Stroud Book Festival adventure, our mission has always been to celebrate local writing talent, but also to bring the creativity and ideas of nationally-renowned authors to our marvellous town to help broaden all our reading horizons.

Because of ever-increasing costs, including the box office charges we incur, we have had to raise some of our ticket prices this year and we ask for your understanding in an increasingly difficult funding climate for the creative sector. We have, however, kept ticket prices for our children’s and family events at last year’s levels. We are enormously indebted to our sponsors who so generously support what we do and help us make the numbers add up: staging Stroud Book Festival is an expensive enterprise!

In the meantime, please keep reading this weekly newsletter. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be focusing on some of our most-anticipated events, and sharing links to interviews with a selection of the authors we are thrilled to be welcoming to Stroud this November.
