“Rewild Your Reading” on Wednesday 4th November

This week, for all keen readers of Stroud and beyond we’d love to recommend “Rewild Your Reading”, our opening night event on Wednesday 4th November which in this National Year of Reading aims to set the tone for a Stroud Book Festival of discovery, and of adventurous reading.

In collaboration with Read for Good, we’ll be joined by three expert readings, all of whom have thought and written about what it means to read deeply and widely.

Robert Douglas Fairhurst, professor of English Literature at Oxford and author of “Look Closer: How to Get More Out of Reading”, author Ann Morgan who has read at least one book from every nation on earth, and journalist Sarah Shaffi who is literary editor at Red magazine, will join Stroud Book Festival programme director Caroline Sanderson for a lively discussion designed to broaden all our reading horizons.

We guarantee you’ll take away a raft of reading recommendations! Tickets available here.

Whichever events you plan to book, we much look forward to welcoming you to Stroud Book Festival in November.

With love from

The Stroud Book Festival team x
